Integrated Pest Management – IPM
IPM is used in the prevention of insects and disease while attempting to limit the use of harmful pesticides. Making bio-rational decisions and taking advantage of beneficial insects and natural defenses can protect a plant without causing more problems to the plant itself or the soil around it. Working closely with the property owner, our staff will perform multiple inspections to properly and constantly maintain an accurate plan for your property.

Soil Tests
Soil is the backbone to a plants survival. Every tree and shrub has specific needs when it comes to nutrients. We can perform soil tests to see what nutrients are lacking and where there is excess within the plants soil so that we can work toward correcting these imbalances.

Fertilization
We aim to use only the most organically and environmentally friendly products to keep your plants as happy as possible.
Slow-Release Fertilizer – This granular fertilizer is placed within the soil and slowly breaks down providing a constant source of nutrition to your plants and trees.
Micro Injection – This technology allows the fertilizer to be placed directly into the tree itself allowing a quick uptake of proper nutrients. Northern Arboriculture LLC is proud to use Mauget brand Micro Injection fertilizers.
Soil injections – A liquid form of fertilizer. Like most of the products we use it is created from other natural plants. Yuccah is the brand of absorption booster we use for plantings. It promotes the root system to absorb and hold more water for longer periods of time. It is made by taking the natural genes of the Yuccah cactis that has these traits.

Air Spading/Root and Trunk Excavation
Roots require air to breathe. Large amounts of mulch or human traffic can compact the roots and stunt tree growth and development. By removing excess topsoil and using Air Spade technology to aerate the soil, we can help to reverse the effects. A compost mix is then added to promote root uptake and development.

Large and Small Transplants
Although we do not focus on landscaping, we enjoy helping our clients with specialty plantings. Depending on your needs, our staff will carefully and professionally plant your trees or shrubs to ensure healthy long-term growth.
